MICHAELSON
This West Seattle residence sits high off of the street and overlooks the Puget Sound. Existing elements included a new concrete sidewalk and steps, a concrete patio and several rockery tiers. We installed a dry creek bed which meanders down the side of the walkway leading down to the Colorado-red flagstone patio. We finished the patio by surrounding it with Italian Cypress, hellebores, agaves, lupine, and succulents. The upper concrete patio was covered with more flagstone, as well as, a fish mosaic which was great fun to create. Sago palms, Hebes, and barberry completed the planting scheme for this Santa Fe/Mediterranean crossover landscape located six minutes from downtown Seattle.
